Katie DeFrancisci is a former professional cheerleader and licensed Esthetician with a diverse background in beauty, leadership, and community involvement. Originally from Chicago, she relocated to the Carolinas in 2004 and later attended the Aveda Institute Charlotte, where she earned her Esthetics license. Prior to becoming a full-time mother to her three daughters, Katie built a successful career in the beauty industry, serving as a Salon Director, Assistant Manager at a medical spa, and professional makeup artist.
Katie’s passion for performance and teamwork led her to a distinguished career in professional cheerleading. She began as a Charlotte Checkers Checkmate in 2006, performing for three seasons before moving to Boston, where she was selected as a member of the New England Patriots Cheerleaders in 2009. After returning to the Carolinas, she joined the Carolina Panthers TopCats in 2011. During this time she had the honor to proudly represent the organization by participating a GQ photo shoot in New York City, a nationwide Dannon/Oikos commercial, and a trip across the globe for a Super Bowl performance for our nations military members in Tokyo, Japan. Her professional cheerleading career culminated with the privilege to be a line captain for the 2013 and 2014 seasons. Katie retired from cheerleading in 2015.
Today, Katie is dedicated to her family and enjoys supporting her daughters in their various activities, including cheerleading, dance, and tumbling. She and her husband, Tommy, a Captain with the Charlotte Fire Department and an active United States Marine Coprs Sergeant Major, share a strong commitment to service, family, and community. In her free time, Katie enjoys traveling to the beach and creating lasting memories with her family.
