Shannon McClattie is a product of a southern upbringing and proudly educated at her beloved HBCU Fort Valley State University earning a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
With a strong and unwavering passion to serve and provide quality care for families and children in North Carolina; Shannon has spent 27 years working with the Department of Health and Human Services supervising a team of assessor.
Shannon spent 11 seasons as a TopCat from 1998 to 2009. During her time on the team, she was voted a 5x captain, a member of the first TopCat show team performing at Eglon AFB (Air Force Base), Fort Hood and St. John’s Newfoundland and served as a member of the Charitable Endeavors committee. As a member of the TopCats, she choreographed the January 2000 half time show and cheered in 2004 at Superbowl XXXVVIII. Later that year, Shannon was selected TopCat of the Year and represented the team at the 2005 Pro Bowl in Hawaii. In 2006, she was selected as one of the team’s representatives at the NFL Cheerleading Challenge on the NFL Network.
After retiring, Shannon was a field assist from 2009 to 2012 and served as the TopCat assistant from 2013 to 2015 where she choreographed in game routines and assisted in the choreography of Superbowl L. This makes Shannon a participant in both Superbowl appearances.
Shannon spends her spare time with her family, traveling and competing as a NPC bikini bodybuilder with the aspirations of becoming a professional.
